Issue of the Week
Shipping, like stock markets, is driven by two emotions: fear and greed.
But seldom have these raw emotions become more apparent than in the roller coaster ride of liner shipping in the past 18-months.
Indeed, the love-hate relationship between carrier and shipper plunged to a watershed low this week with the news leaked to the UK Independent newspaper that a major UK retailer had filed a breach of contract suit in the High Court against number one-ranked Maersk Line.
